Pamukkale balloon tour from Antalya combines a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the white travertine terraces with a guided visit to Hierapolis and free time on the thermal pools — €135 per person, with hotel pickup included from Antalya, Belek, Side, Kemer, and Alanya. The day departs before dawn so the balloon rises as the sun breaks over the Çürüksu Valley; below, Pamukkale’s calcium terraces glow white against the surrounding green plain. After landing, a licensed guide leads the group through Hierapolis — the 2,000-year-old Roman spa city built above the same thermal spring that created the terraces — covering the theatre, the grand necropolis, and the ancient baths. Lunch is included. Pamukkale and Hierapolis site entrance is paid locally at the gate. Maximum 15 guests per departure.

03:00–04:00 — Hotel Pickup
Early departure is required to reach Pamukkale in time for the sunrise balloon flight. Your driver collects you from your hotel in Antalya, Belek, Side, Kemer, or Alanya. Exact pickup time depends on your hotel location and is confirmed after booking. The drive from central Antalya to Pamukkale takes approximately 3 hours.
06:30–07:00 — Arrival in Pamukkale — Pre-Flight Briefing
The group arrives at the balloon launch area. The balloon crew carries out pre-flight checks while the guide gives a safety briefing. Passengers board the basket as the balloon inflates and the sun begins to rise over the valley.
07:00–08:00 — Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Flight
The balloon rises above the Pamukkale plateau for an approximately 45–60 minute flight. Below, the white calcium terraces cover the hillside, the ruins of Hierapolis spread across the ridge, and the Çürüksu Valley stretches east toward the mountains. The balloon follows the prevailing wind direction; on clear mornings the views extend to the surrounding plain. The landing is gentle and handled by the experienced crew.
08:00–09:00 — Landing & Breakfast
After landing, the crew conducts the traditional post-flight celebration. Light refreshments are provided. The group then transfers to the Pamukkale site entrance.
09:00–11:30 — Hierapolis Ancient City & Pamukkale Travertines
Your licensed guide leads a walking tour of Hierapolis — founded in the 2nd century BC as a thermal spa city for the kings of Pergamon. The main stops are the Roman theatre (capacity 12,000, well-preserved), the vast hillside necropolis, and the sacred pool area where the thermal spring emerges. From Hierapolis the path descends to the travertine terraces: warm mineral water flows continuously down the stepped white calcium formations. Visitors walk barefoot. Site entrance ticket paid locally at the gate (approx. €30 per person).
11:30–12:00 — Cleopatra's Antique Pool (Optional)
An optional stop at the Antique Pool — a thermal swimming pool containing submerged Roman columns from the original Hierapolis colonnade. Entry is paid separately at the pool entrance. The water is warm and mineral-rich.
12:00–13:00 — Lunch
Lunch is served at a local restaurant near the site. Drinks are available to order separately.
13:00–16:30 — Return to Antalya
Comfortable return drive to Antalya. Most guests are back at their hotels by 16:30–17:30 depending on hotel location.
