Kemer Tours

A Lycian harbour city founded in 690 BC with three separate bays — North Harbour, Central Harbour and South Beach. The ruins run between them: a Roman theatre, an aqueduct, a colonnaded main avenue and harbour walls that slope into the sea. Most boat routes from Kemer Marina anchor in the central bay for 2–3 hours. Snorkelling around the harbour foundations reveals submerged sections of the ancient walls. No road reaches the site — the only access is by boat or a long forest walk.

A slot canyon 10 minutes from Kemer town, cold emerald water running through it year-round. You walk and swim through the gorge — sections require swimming with a life jacket where the walls narrow to a metre wide. The contrast is what makes it: you descend from pine forests into a cool, dripping limestone corridor. A half-day activity that pairs well with an afternoon on the beach. Inside the national park, no development around it.

The Tahtali gondola rises 2,365m in 10 minutes — the fastest altitude gain by cable car in Turkey. At the summit the temperature drops roughly 10°C from the coast. On a clear day Cyprus is visible 80km offshore. The best single day from Kemer: cable car in the morning for sunrise visibility, Phaselis boat route in the afternoon. Plan 3+ days ahead in July–August — capacity fills early.

An hour from Kemer through the Taurus Mountains — 14km of Grade 2–3 rapids through a gorge 400m deep. The Köprülü river runs cold even in August.
