What to Do in Adrasan

Four experiences that define Adrasan — the island, the bays, the diving, and the coast that development missed.
🏝️
Suluada Island Route
Two hours south by boat from Adrasan Bay, Suluada is an uninhabited volcanic island with no beach facilities, no development and water visibility of 12–15 metres. The island's volcanic rock drops straight into clear sea — you swim off the rocks directly into open water. There is nothing like it within easy reach of Antalya. Capacity is strictly limited — read the full Suluada boat trip guide before booking to understand what to expect and what to bring.
FULL-DAY · BOOK EARLY · LIMITED CAPACITY
Adrasan Bays Tour
The daily bay circuit covers Sazak Bay (calm turquoise water, pebble beach, pine trees to the shoreline), Aquarium Bay (named for the water clarity at 6–8m depth), and Porto Ceneviz — Genoese Bay — where 13th-century watchtower ruins stand on a rocky promontory above the sea. Multiple swimming stops, lunch on board, and a coastline that has looked this way for centuries. One of the best coastal boat routes in the Antalya region.
FULL-DAY · LUNCH INCLUDED · ALL AGES
🤿
Scuba Diving
Adrasan sits inside a national park where anchoring and motorised watersports are restricted — the result is an underwater environment largely free of boat traffic and noise. Visibility runs 10–18 metres at the dive sites around the bay, with rocky formations, sea grass beds and occasional wreckage. Introductory dives for complete beginners and guided dives for certified divers are both available. A genuinely good dive site in a region where most coastal areas have been heavily used for decades.

Lycian Way Coastal Walk
The Lycian Way long-distance trail passes directly through Adrasan — one of the few sections of the 540 km route where you can walk for 2–3 hours and return to a beach for the afternoon. The stretch north toward Olympos passes ancient Lycian tombs, pine forest and sea views. The stretch south goes toward Gelidonya lighthouse, one of the most remote headlands in Turkey. A half-day walk from Adrasan village requires no equipment beyond good shoes and water. See our adventure activities for guided trekking options.

Suluada Island — What You Need to Know

Turkey's Clearest Water

Suluada is two hours south of Adrasan by boat — an uninhabited volcanic island with no shade, no facilities and water so clear you can see the bottom at 12 metres. What it lacks in comfort it makes up in underwater experience: it is consistently one of the best snorkelling sites in Turkey.

Boat capacity is limited and morning departures sell out fast in July and August. Read the full guide before you book. Suluada complete guide →

Before You Book — Practical Notes

🏝️
Suluada — book 3–5 days ahead in peak season
Suluada tour boats depart once daily and carry limited passengers — capacity is deliberately controlled to protect the island. In July and August, spaces fill 3–5 days in advance. If Suluada is the reason you're coming to Adrasan, secure your place before you travel. Read the complete Suluada guide for what to bring.
🚗
The last 15 km — narrow mountain road
The road from the D400 down to Adrasan is a winding 15 km mountain descent through pine forest. It is accessible by car but not suitable for large coaches or motorhomes. Organised tours use minibuses that manage the route without difficulty. If driving independently, go slowly — the road is single-track in places with passing points.
💵
Bring cash — no ATMs in Adrasan village
Adrasan is a small village inside a national park with minimal infrastructure. There are no ATMs in the village — the nearest is in Kumluca, 25 km away. Bring cash for boat tips, market purchases and any small vendors at the harbour. Card payments are accepted on booked tours.
Morning departures — calmer sea conditions
The open Mediterranean section toward Suluada can develop a chop in the afternoon when the prevailing westerly wind picks up. Morning departures (08:00–09:00) give the calmest conditions outbound and return. This applies particularly to Suluada — the bay circuit tours are more sheltered and less affected by afternoon conditions.

Adrasan Tours — Common Questions

Straight answers to what people actually ask.
What tours are available from Adrasan?
The main Adrasan tours are the Suluada Island full-day boat route (2 hours south to an uninhabited volcanic island with exceptional water clarity), the Adrasan bays circuit (Sazak Bay, Aquarium Bay and Porto Ceneviz with lunch on board), scuba diving for both beginners and certified divers, and the Lycian Way coastal walk. Browse the tours above, or message us on WhatsApp to confirm availability and build a custom itinerary.
How far is Adrasan from Antalya?
Adrasan is 80 km south of Antalya city centre — approximately 1.5 hours by road. The main D400 coastal highway takes you most of the way; the final 15 km is a winding mountain descent through pine forest. Transfer from Antalya, Kemer and Olympos area hotels is available on all booked tours — confirm your hotel location when you message us.
What is Suluada and is it worth visiting?
Suluada is an uninhabited volcanic island 2 hours south of Adrasan by boat, known for water visibility of 12–15 metres — among the clearest in the Mediterranean. The island has no shade and no facilities; you swim off volcanic rock directly into open water. For snorkelling and swimming in near-pristine conditions, it is absolutely worth it. Boat capacity is limited and books up fast in peak season. Read the full Suluada guide for practical details.
What are the best bays to visit near Adrasan?
The three standout bays on the Adrasan boat circuit are Sazak Bay (calm water, pebble beach, pine trees reaching the shoreline), Aquarium Bay (named for the underwater visibility at 6–8 m depth) and Porto Ceneviz — Genoese Bay — where 13th-century Genoese watchtower ruins stand above the sea. All three are inside the national park and have no permanent facilities — access by boat only.
Is scuba diving good in Adrasan?
Yes. Adrasan's national park protection restricts anchoring and motorised watersports, which means the dive sites around the bay are lightly used with consistent visibility of 10–18 metres. Introductory dives for complete beginners and guided dives for certified divers are both available. Compared to busier dive sites along the coast, Adrasan offers a noticeably calmer and cleaner underwater environment.
Is transfer or pickup available from Kemer and Olympos?
Yes. Transfer to Adrasan can be arranged from Antalya city hotels, Kemer hotels and the Olympos area. The road access is by minibus rather than coach — the final mountain section requires a smaller vehicle. Confirm your hotel location when booking and the pickup logistics will be arranged. No public transport connects Adrasan to the main highway.
Are Adrasan tours suitable for families with children?
The Adrasan bays circuit is suitable for families with children aged 5 and above — calm swimming bays, lunch on board and a manageable pace. Suluada requires open-water confidence — children should be comfortable swimmers; there is no beach to stand on, only volcanic rock and open sea. Scuba introductory dives are available from age 10. Lycian Way sections near the village are walkable with older children (8+).
How do I book and what is the cancellation policy?
